Nicole Ferrier

Nicole Ferrier was born in Arkansas but moved to New Orleans at an early age and considers the New Orleans area her home. She chose a career in communications and public relations in part so that she could be a part of educating the state and the world about the many virtues of the dynamic and incomparable place of her birth.

Nicole is a proud graduate of St. Joseph Academy in New Orleans.  She had the opportunity to study Sociology at Laney College in Oakland, California where she made valuable friendships and had the opportunity to travel and see the Great West.  But home called to her, and she returned to New Orleans to secure her Bachelor of Arts degree in Public Relations/Communications from the University of New Orleans.

Nicole ably served as Executive Director of Community Programs in the Jefferson Parish Government for 15 years, seeing first-hand the benefits of these valuable programs in the community.  Then the entrepreneur spirit led her to form her own business specializing in event planning and public relations consulting.

A recognized leader in New Orleans, Nicole is involved in civic and volunteer organizations such as being a Member of the Leading Ladies Guild and the New Orleans Museum of Art.  She also serves on the Board of the New Orleans Press Club.  Nicole enjoys her involvement in the Louisiana Center for Women in Government and Business and looks forward to increasing its diversity and participation of even more young women in the region.

Nicole is a devoted wife and mother and is fortunate to have her wise and compassionate grandmother as one of her best and most valued mentors.
